The Importance of Lab Work

The Importance of Lab Work for HRT

The Data Driven Foundation for Safe & Effective Hormone Therapy

Why Lab Work is Essential

Comprehensive lab testing is the foundation of every successful and safe hormone replacement therapy plan. It provides a clear, objective snapshot of your internal health, allowing our providers to understand your unique hormonal needs, monitor your progress, and ensure your treatment is both safe and effective.

What We're Looking For

Hormone Levels

We measure key hormones like Testosterone and Estradiol to establish your baseline and ensure we bring you into an optimal range, not just a "normal" one.

Overall Health Markers

Tests like the Complete Blood Count (CBC) and Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP) check your blood cells, kidney function, and liver health to ensure HRT is safe for you.

Safety & Risk Factors

We screen for potential risks. For men, the PSA test monitors prostate health. For all patients, a Lipid Panel helps manage cardiovascular health during therapy.

A Deeper Look: Biomarkers Per Panel

Each package is designed to provide a specific level of insight into your health. Here's a quick look at the number of individual biomarkers we analyze in each panel.

Visualizing Your Progress

The goal of HRT is to move your key hormone levels from a suboptimal state to a healthy, optimal range, alleviating symptoms and improving your quality of life.

Your Lab Testing Process

  1. Complete your Initial Workup & Consultation. Your provider will then issue your personalized lab requisition.
  2. Visit a local lab facility for a quick and easy blood draw.
  3. Your results are sent directly to us for analysis.
  4. Review your results with your provider to create or adjust your personalized treatment plan.

Lab work is essential to your treatment plan. We begin with a full workup for new patients, a follow up at 3 months to monitor progress, and then labs every 6 months to maintain your success.
